THE TSUKANOV ART COLLECTION

Fifteen paintings from the abstract period (1959-1965) of work by Vladimir Nemukhin, Lydia Masterkova, Lev Kropivnitsky and Dmitry Plavinsky have been acquired from one of the most famous French private collections. All the paintings were bought directly from the artists by French diplomats in Moscow in the beginning of the 1960s and represent the best of abstract art from the second wave of the Russian avant-garde.
